Flying humans over London, for giffgaff

A publicity stunt for the mobile network giffgaff: human figures that seemed to fly over London, past the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. We designed and programmed the custom drones, and led the four pilots who flew them.

The project

A publicity stunt for giffgaff: human figures, carried by drones, that looked like people flying over London, past the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the towers of Canary Wharf.

What we did

We designed custom drones for the stunt, and programmed them to fly precise, synchronised paths. During the stunt, Ben led the team of four drone pilots.

What happened next

The Mirror covered the stunt, with a video of people’s reactions.
