One crew handles the whole 360 production: filming, stitching, stabilising and post-production, whether it ends up in a headset, on a phone or on the web.

Drone, rover, cablecam and point-of-view 360 rigs, for the technically awkward shots other production companies turn down.

Places people explore for themselves, on the web or in a VR headset. We make them for retail, hospitality, and staff induction and training.

In-house engineering for one-off experiences and for ideas that sound impossible at first, like the custom drones that flew human figures over London for giffgaff.
Where we have filmed and flown so far. The map is drawn in the equirectangular projection that finished 360 video is stored in: the whole world in one frame, 360° across and 180° from top to bottom.

Since 2021 we have been the VR partner of an international research consortium of more than 20 partners, and the work is still going.
Together we are building the Higher-Order Ambisonic Sound Scene Repository (HOA-SSR): real scenes on transport, in public spaces, at work and at leisure, each recorded on a 64-channel microphone in fourth-order ambisonic sound, with 8K 360 video. In Copenhagen alone, in 2021, we recorded at more than 25 locations over two months. It is cutting-edge work, made to be the most comprehensive dataset of its kind and a reference for researchers developing hearing aids, headphones and spatial audio in VR. The dataset is available from FORCE Technology’s SenseLab.
Ben Huss leads the VR production: he planned the capture method, directs the fieldwork across countries and takes each recording from the field to the finished dataset. For this work we team up as XRHUB, which Ben co-founded with the spatial audio designer Axel Drioli.

Founder
Ben founded Immersi in 2015 and leads its productions. He flew the 360 drone on the UN’s Growing a World Wonder, was director of photography on ADT’s fire safety film, and leads the VR production of the HOA-SSR research dataset. He taught 360 and VR production on UCL’s MA in Immersive Factual Storytelling from 2018 to 2025, now mentors master’s students there, and hosts The Immersive Technologist podcast.

Spatial audio designer
Axel is a spatial audio designer, sound recordist and director whose immersive audio takes people places they can’t otherwise go, from the Cambodian rainforest to a 180-loudspeaker theatre in London. He co-directs XRHUB with Ben and founded Sounding Wild, and his work includes UNICEF’s The Journey 360 and PBS Nature’s My Garden of a Thousand Bees, which won a Wildscreen Golden Panda in 2022.

“It has been a real pleasure working with Ben at iMMERSi Studios. His exceptional expertise in 360° and VR technologies, along with his can-do approach and open collaboration, paid dividends on our shoot, and I am looking forward to our next opportunity to work together. If you have a 360° or VR project coming up, I highly recommend partnering with iMMERSi Studios to bring your vision to life.”
